Abstract

Abstract This study aims to enhance food security through improved organizational and economic mechanisms across the agricultural supply chain, with a particular focus on food packaging. The research employed expert surveys and data analysis to identify key criteria for selecting packaging materials in the food industry and warehousing. Results reveal significant variation in expert assessments, highlighting both consensus and contradictions in preferences for packaging types. Environmental friendliness and hygienic compliance emerged as top priorities. Based on the findings, the paper proposes practical recommendations for promoting the use of safe, cost-effective, and eco-friendly packaging materials. These insights have implications for food safety management and policymaking, especially in strengthening hygiene control within food storage facilities.
