Abstract
This article discusses the use of Sketch Engine for working with corpora and parallel corpora. It outlines the concept of a corpus, describes the program’s main features (word frequency analysis, collocations, concordance, word sketches, parallel corpus creation) and interface, and examines applications in linguistic research, machine translation, and language learning.
