Abstract

This article analyzes the borrowed words used in the Yangirovot dialect of the Samarkand region. The phonetic, lexical-semantic, and morphological features of words borrowed mainly from Persian-Tajik, Arabic, Russian, and international languages are examined. Words of Persian-Tajik origin are often related to everyday life, clothing, food, and handicrafts, while words borrowed from Arabic are mostly associated with religious, legal, and cultural spheres. Russian borrowings primarily concern technology, transport, and modern life. The use of international words in the dialect is also observed. The article studies the phonetic and semantic changes these borrowed words have undergone in the dialect. It is emphasized that the borrowed vocabulary of the Yangirovot dialect is of scientific interest from the perspective of regional dialectology and lexicology.
