Abstract

A total of 1,453 scientific articles on the family Coccidae Fallén, 1814 published up to July 20, 2025, were subjected to bibliometric analysis based on data from the Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed databases. The analysis revealed an increase in research activity in the fields of molecular taxonomy, biological control, ecological monitoring, and evolutionary biology. Leading authors (A. Tena, T. Kondo, C.J. Hodgson) and high-impact journals (Zootaxa, Biological Control) have received widespread citation. Keyword analysis highlighted the prominence of themes such as “species diversity”, “parasitoid-host interaction” and “molecular phylogeny.” This study provides insights into the development of scientific research on Coccidae and offers a theoretical foundation for advancements in entomology, agrobiotechnology, and ecological management.
