Abstract
In the process of creating and aligning English-Uzbek parallel corpora, differences in language structure and style play a significant role. In particular, the phenomenon of ellipsis, the omission of certain words or phrases within a sentence, poses serious challenges for ensuring semantic equivalence between corpora. This article analyzes the characteristics of ellipsis in English and Uzbek, reviews key methodologies used for identifying and accurately aligning ellipses, evaluates the effectiveness of existing approaches, and offers suggestions for their improvement.
