Abstract

The methodology of structuring educational material in the educational process of training air traffic controllers is given. The purpose of structuring is to create an educational environment conducive to the formation of clear systems thinking and solid skills for making error-free management decisions. Structuring provides for a logically sound construction of the sequence and content of the educational material, by taking into account flight safety. The methodology has been tested in lectures and practical classes. Its effectiveness is assessed by testing students' knowledge. The analysis of the test results has showed a noticeable increase in academic performance. The concept of the methodology is based on the compilation of an organizational and structural model of the movement cycle of a civil aviation aircraft.
