Abstract

This article analyzes proverbs with zoonym components in Uzbek, Karakalpak, and English using a linguocognitive approach. It examines how proverbs express the mentality, thinking, and social values of the people through words related to the animal world. Based on a comparative study, zoonyms in the three languages are analyzed semantically and cognitively, and their general and national characteristics are revealed.
