Lorenzo CarpanèLorenzo Carpanè is a board member of the Centro Studi Tassiani, in Bergamo, and teaches at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He is the author of Edizioni a stampa di Torquato Tasso, 1561-1994. Catalogo breve (Centro di Studi Tassiani, 1998) and of studies dedicated to Tasso’s Aminta and Jerusalem Delivered. More specifically, he studied the editio princeps of Aminta (1580), using the tools of analytical bibliography, and focused on the episode of the infernal council in Jerusalem Delivered, examining the influence of patristic sources and Seventeenth-century epigones. He also studied the meaning of Tasso’s presence-absence in the works of Italo Calvino
