Abstract

To evaluate the coloring properties of the flavonoid complex found in the Scutellaria Leptosiphon Juz. plant. To separate the flavonoid complex from the aboveground and underground sections of the plant, we performed aqueous, aqueous-alcoholic and alcoholic extraction of the aboveground and underground parts of the plant crushed in a mill at 80°C. Natural dyes were created using flavonoid complexes extracted from plants and they were used to dye both natural and artificial materials. The coloring properties of extracts and flavonoids from the Scutellaria leptosiphon plant were determined. Natural dyes were produced using flavonoids extracted for the first time from the plant Scutellaria leptosiphon Juz., and natural and synthetic materials were dyed via them. The plant was dried in the shade ground in a mill and aqueous, aqueous-alcoholic and alcoholic extracts were obtained. The extracts were powdered and wool, silk and cotton materials were dyed in neutral and alkaline baths with and without salts to produce a spectrum of colors ranging from yellow to brown.
