Cultural and educational potential of the digital metropolis
Abstract
The paper examines the process of expanding the urban agglomeration to a megalopolis, which once formed did not stop in its development and is in the process of constant transformation, in the light of recent decades – digital. A terminological analysis has been carried out, which makes it possible to consider the space of a megalopolis as a cultural and educational environment. The elements of the cultural and educational environment of the megalopolis are identified and described. The educational potential of urban urbanism is revealed and options for the introduction of urban objects with digital components into educational urbanism are proposed. The process of digitalization of megacities is analyzed and examples of how this happens at the information, organizational, supervisory and communication levels are given. An attempt has been made to anticipate the course of events in the further development of the digital metropolis, its symbiosis with already developing metaverses, as well as to suggest trends in the educational process within the framework of the coexistence of these metaverses.
