Abstract
Resume: Bruxism symptoms are commonly seen by dentists as part of their regular patient care. Screening for sleep issues and symptoms is one way to improve the assessment of a patient's status. This tool is useful for understanding patient complaints and orofacial symptoms, which makes it easier to customize treatment. Furthermore, it sheds light on clinical symptoms. When people with bruxism are judged to require it, somnologists may be consulted for a comprehensive assessment or treatment of coexisting sleep disorders. Keywords: masticatory muscle activations, stress sensitivity, dopamine, bruxism
