Abstract

This article describes the effects of mineral fertilizers, hydrogel, and mulching on the growth and development of barley plants in sandy desert soils of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Experimental results showed that agronomic practices applied during the barley growing season had a positive effect on maintaining soil moisture, increasing plant height, and yield. Particularly high barley growth rates and final results were achieved with the use of hydrogel and mulching in combination with mineral fertilizers. The practices recommended in this region contribute to increased barley cultivation efficiency.
