Abstract

This article analyzes the role and significance of mass media in the process of shaping public opinion in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The study scientifically and theoretically explores the influence of both traditional and digital media on society, their communicative characteristics, and their interaction with audiences. The article examines the mechanisms through which television, radio, print media, internet portals, and social networks operating in Karakalpakstan affect public opinion. The findings indicate that social networks have become the most effective and dynamic platforms for shaping public sentiment, while traditional media continue to play a vital role through their stability, reliability, and analytical approach. The article concludes by presenting recommendations for improving media performance in Karakalpakstan, developing digital media culture, and ensuring information security.
