Abstract

Resume. Thyroid pathology is the second most common endocrinopathy after diabetes. The number of patients with temporary and permanent disabilities due to thyroid pathology is increasing. Early diagnosis of morphological changes in thyroid pathologies and increasing the effectiveness of treatment is undoubtedly carried out by knowing the normal parameters of the thyroid gland. In this article, the morphological and histomorphometric characteristics of the thyroid gland of purebred rats were studied. Key words: morphology, thyroid gland, purebred rats, histomorphometry.
