Abstract

This article investigates the structural and semantic aspects of affixation processes in the Uzbek language. The study focuses on how prefixes, suffixes, and derivational morphemes contribute to word formation and meaning modification. A detailed structural analysis examines the internal composition of derived words, while the semantic analysis highlights the ways affixes affect word meaning, grammatical category, and stylistic usage. The research also compares nominal, verbal, and adjectival derivational patterns, demonstrating regularities and exceptions in Uzbek affixation. The findings aim to provide a systematic understanding of morphological processes, supporting both linguistic theory and practical applications in language teaching and lexicography.
