Abstract

This work analyzes the role of political parties in the social and political life of the Republic of Uzbekistan, their functions in state governance, and their importance in democratic processes. It also examines the legal basis, principles, and stages of the electoral system currently operating in the country. The study highlights voter participation, political competition among parties, and the process of forming the parliamentary structure, including candidate nomination and election campaigns. The results show that political parties and the electoral system play a significant role in modernizing Uzbekistan’s political system, strengthening civil society, and increasing voter engagement and democratic participation.
