Abstract
This article explores the multifaceted theme of identity as represented in contemporary British novels. It examines how modern British writers address personal, cultural, national, gender, and postcolonial identities in response to globalization, migration, multiculturalism, and social change. Through the analysis of selected novels by prominent British authors, the study highlights how identity is portrayed as fluid, fragmented, and constantly negotiated rather than fixed or stable.
