Abstract

The article analyzes the development of entrepreneurial competencies in students through texts presented in mother tongue textbooks in secondary schools. It examines the semantic, pragmatic, and educational potential of instructional texts and their role in fostering economic thinking, initiative, independent decision-making, and responsibility. Special attention is paid to the communicative and functional characteristics of textbook texts as effective tools for developing students’ life and social skills. The study also provides methodological recommendations for integrating a competency-based approach into mother tongue teaching in order to enhance entrepreneurial competencies. The research findings contribute to the improvement of language education in line with modern socio-economic demands.
