Abstract
This systematic review explores the role of mentoring competence in supporting early-career teachers. A total of 56 empirical studies indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases between 2015 and 2024 were systematically analyzed. The results indicate that mentoring competence consists of three main dimensions: cognitive, social, and emotional. Mentoring programs have a significant impact on early-career teachers’ professional development, retention in the profession, and self-confidence.
