Abstract

This article discusses in detail encryption technologies and access control methods that play an important role in ensuring database security. In the current era, when the volume of data and the need for them are increasing, information security threats are also becoming more complex. Therefore, symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms, principles of information protection during transit and storage as effective approaches to data protection are analyzed. Also, the advantages and areas of application of access control models - discretionary access control (DAC), mandatory access control (MAC) and role-based access control (RBAC) - are considered. The article substantiates modern solutions for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and availability of data by integrating these methods. The results of the study show that the harmonious use of encryption and access control mechanisms significantly increases the level of protection of databases from cyberattacks.
