Abstract

The accelerated growth of the tourism sector has led to significant structural transformations in the management of tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the core elements of tourism infrastructure, prevailing development patterns, and their interrelations with key economic determinants. Using comparative statistical data for the period 2016–2024, the study explores trends in the expansion of accommodation capacity, modernization of transport and logistics networks, increases in investment inflows, the emergence of regional tourism clusters, and improvements in service standards. Furthermore, econometric methods are employed to evaluate the influence of infrastructure development on tourism demand, the role of government policies and institutional reforms, as well as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent recovery processes. The results provide a basis for formulating practical policy recommendations focused on upgrading tourism infrastructure, stimulating international visitor arrivals, enhancing regional infrastructure performance, and supporting long-term sustainable economic development.
