Abstract

A groundbreaking roller machine designed for the mechanical processing of moisture-saturated fibrous materials has been developed, featuring an innovative feed-through type configuration. This advanced machine employs a refined drive mechanism that enhances performance, enabling efficient mechanical processing of fibrous material packages, regardless of thickness variations. By intelligently regulating processing speed in response to fluctuations in package thickness, the machine ensures optimal processing quality. The design includes a comprehensive mathematical model of the drive mechanism equipped with a V-belt variator, which examines its dynamic characteristics to demonstrate its efficiency. When applied to the processing of fibrous materials, the use of variable-parameter rollers within this enhanced drive system yields a velocity characteristic that is notably more stable than that offered by conventional gear or chain transmissions. The quality of processing improves substantially due to the symmetrical rotation of the working rollers, which are aligned at a precise angle relative to one another. This alignment is adjusted based on thickness variations across the width of the fibrous material being fed, ensuring uniform treatment throughout. The synchronization of the working rollers’ rotation is meticulously maintained, reducing wear on the roller coatings and ultimately increasing the productivity of the roller machine. The innovations in design and function mark a significant advancement in the mechanical processing of fibrous materials, aligning efficiency with high-quality results.
