Abstract
This paper presents the development and application of sensitive layers of optical sensors based on immobilized organic reagents for monitoring heavy metal ions in environmental objects. Sorption–spectroscopic and luminescent approaches were used to evaluate the interaction of immobilized reagents with metal ions. Optimal conditions for complex formation, immobilization, and analytical signal generation were established. The developed sensor layers were successfully applied for the determination of toxic metals in natural and technogenic water samples, demonstrating high sensitivity and selectivity.
