Abstract

The paper will explore the creative uses of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data analytics in managing and monitoring power supply in optical communication networks. DWDM and OTN nodes, as well as optical amplifiers, need to be powered in a stable and energy-efficient manner, which is not always guaranteed in conditions of growing traffic demands by traditional means. AI-applications offer real-time control, anticipatory failure detection, dynamic load allocation, and seamless incorporation with renewable energy resources. The literature review of the international best practice and its applicability to the Telecommunication infrastructure in Uzbekistan is presented. The suggested solutions contribute to the reliability, energy-efficiency, and sustainability of the optical networks in line with the global trends of digital transformation and green technologies.
