Abstract

This article presents the design and implementation of PID based fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for the electric vehicle battery charging. The electric vehicle has been driven by DC voltage source. The DC voltage source fed to boost converter and controlling of boost converter has been done with PID based fuzzy logic controller. The improvement in SOC and voltage deviation are the novelty and original contribution of research, The charging parameters mainly state of charging (SOC) and voltage deviation(%) have been measured under the variable loading conditions. It is observed that SOC and voltage deviation are found to be minimum with PID based fuzzy logic controller in contrast to PID controller.
