Abstract

This article optimal controlling and management of electric vehicle (EV) driven by the solar photo-voltaic cell. The solar photovoltaic output is stored in the battery which is further passes through DC-DC converter for the EV charging. In this research, cost of EV battery and overall cost of system has been considered which is trained by using the genetic algorithm (GA). A multi-objective function has been developed in terms of state of charge (SOC), battery cost, converter cost, solar photovoltaic cost which is controlled by using GA. It is observed that optimal least value of battery cost, converter cost, solar photovoltaic cost and overall cost has been attained with GA under the variable SOC.
