Abstract

This work is devoted to relay protection and automation (RPA) of high-voltage substations, with an emphasis on modern digital solutions. It is noted that these substations play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of the power system, where intelligent control of power flows is critically important. The study examines the design of relay protection and automation systems for high-voltage substations, focusing on their technical components, design processes, challenges, reliability, and efficiency. The project of a high-voltage substation is reviewed, highlighting the role of key components such as electronic current and voltage transformers and merging units in digital implementations
