this article examines the pragmatic functions of military terminology in newspaper discourse, focusing on how lexical choices shape meaning, convey stance, and influence reader perception. It analyzes semantic nuances, context-dependent interpretations, and sociocultural connotations of military terms in press coverage, highlighting their communicative strategies and ideological implications within political, security, and conflict-related journalism.
