Abstract
Tourism development in distant and geographically isolated regions presents unique challenges related to accessibility, limited infrastructure, weak service integration, and insufficient visibility in domestic and international markets. This extended thesis explores how modern marketing strategies—particularly digital marketing, destination branding, integrated marketing communication, and community-based marketing—can significantly enhance tourism service provision in distant regions. The analysis draws on the example of Uzbekistan, especially the Karakalpakstan region, to demonstrate how marketing innovation can close regional development gaps, improve service quality, and increase tourist inflows.
