Abstract
The adrenal glands are vital organs, the complete removal or destruction of which by a pathological process leads to changes that are not suitable for life and death, which is why they are often called "life glands". Functions of the adrenal glands. - production of mineralocorticoids (aldosterone, deoxycorticosterone acetate, etc.), regulation of water-salt metabolism, as well as activation of inflammatory and immune reactions.
