Abstract
This article provides an in-depth analysis of the theme of identity in contemporary British novels. It examines how modern. British writers represent identity as fluid, fragmented, and socially constructed under the influence of globalization, migration, postcolonialism, gender, language, and national change. By drawing on cultural theory and close textual analysis, the study demonstrates that identity has become a central concern in contemporary British fiction, reflecting the complex realities of modern British society.
