Abstract

This deliverable provides a comprehensive climate risk assessment for La Foia de Castalla, focusing on heatwaves and agricultural droughts. By integrating high-resolution local data with global climate projections (RCP 4.5 and 8.5), the study quantifies escalating hazards, socio-economic exposure, and systemic vulnerabilities. Key findings highlight a transition from episodic to structural water scarcity and a dramatic increase in extreme heat events, projecting annual agricultural losses of €4.1 million by mid-century. The report concludes with an adaptation framework based on circular water management and regional cooperation to enhance territorial resilience.
