Analysis of the reaction 12C(t,d)13C to determine the asymptotic normalization coefficient for the 13C→12C+n configuration
Abstract
Annotation: The [Formula: see text] reaction was studied at the energy of 38[Formula: see text]MeV with transitions to the ground ([Formula: see text] state of [Formula: see text] nucleus. We reanalyzed the experimental differential cross-sections (DCSs) from P. J. Simmonds et al. 12 of the measured angular distributions using a modified distorted wave method, assuming a one-step neutron transfer mechanism. The reliability of the criterion of neutron transfer peripherality used in the modified distorted wave method was studied in detail. It was shown that at small angles (in the region of the main diffraction maximum), this reaction occurs commonly on the nuclear surface. The values of the squares of the asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANCs) for [Formula: see text] were obtained, which are equal to 2.448[Formula: see text]0.06[Formula: see text]fm[Formula: see text], for the lowest [Formula: see text] state of the [Formula: see text] nucleus, respectively.
