Abstract
Chronic heart failure is a syndrome encountered in a number of diseases, characterized by fluid accumulation in soft tissues resulting from the heart's inability to adequately supply organs and tissues with blood during physical exertion or at rest. Echocardiography (ECHO) currently plays an important role in the diagnosis of chronic heart failure. In recent years, the detection of specific biomarkers for chronic heart failure has also been established. Natriuretic peptide is among these.
