Abstract

Alterations in the epithelial-stromal relationships in the uterine mucosa contribute to the development of various types of endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia. The pathological processes studied differ from each other in the ratio between the endometrial parenchyma and stroma. Simple endometrial hyperplasia (EH) and complex endometrial hyperplasia (EH) are characterized by a predominance of the stromal component of the endometrium over the parenchymal component.
