Abstract

Pectus excavatum (PE) is the most common congenital chest wall deformity in children and adolescents and may be associated with cardiopulmonary compromise as well as psychosocial distress. Several surgical techniques have been developed to correct this deformity, including open and minimally invasive approaches. Comparative evaluation of these methods remains essential for optimizing outcomes.
