Abstract
In the presented scientific thesis, the authors analyze the morphostructural changes in the pancreas in patients with infected pancreatic necrosis against the background of diabetes mellitus. Clinical studies were conducted on 62 patients with IPN and diabetes mellitus. Overall, the studies showed that morphostructural changes were characterized by an early and persistent increase in the systemic inflammatory response and progression of destructive foci on the 1st-3rd day of the disease, followed by a decrease in the intensity of inflammatory and morphological indicators and incomplete stabilization by the 10th day.
