Abstract

The effectiveness and safety of combined transpupillary thermotherapy for small-sized retinoblastoma were evaluated. The study included 60 patients (67 eyes) with ICRB groups A–B following systemic polychemotherapy. In the main group, scanning TTT combined with barrier laser photocoagulation was applied, while the control group received the standard technique. A comparative analysis of complications, functional outcomes, and recurrence rates was performed. It was established that the combined approach reduces the incidence of postoperative complications, provides more uniform thermal exposure, and improves the effectiveness of local tumor control.
