Abstract

This article highlights the development process of education, school, and pedagogical thoughts in Central Asia, and specifically in the territory of Uzbekistan, during the period from the 17th century to the mid-19th century. During this period, the main forms of the education system, the activities of schools and madrasas, pedagogical views, and the ideas of scholars and thinkers regarding upbringing are analyzed. Furthermore, the role of folk pedagogy and traditional teaching methods in the life of society is revealed.
