Immunological Characteristics of Brucellosis According to The Form of The Disease

Abstract

In the analysis of clinical and immunological parameters of 179 patients aged 17 to 60 with various forms of brucellosis, an imbalance in cellular and humoral immunity was established, which was more pronounced in the chronic process. The persistence of the pathogen in the bodies of brucellosis patients is associated with the activation of cytokine-mediated immunity, involving both pro- and anti-inflammatory interleukins, against a background of decreased IFN-γ.
