Abstract
This scientific article analyzes the formation and development stages of the banking system in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the role and importance of banks in the national economy. The main financial indicators of the banking sector, including assets, loan portfolio, deposits, and capital, are studied based on statistical data. In addition, the problems, reforms, and future development prospects of the banking system are discussed. The results of the study show that the banking system is an important factor in ensuring economic growth.
