Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the role of syntax and grammatical constructions in fiction texts. The study used a mixed-method comparative approach combining quantitative syntax analysis with qualitative stylistic interpretation. The research analysed the syntactic techniques in the works of authors such as A. Navoi, R. Carver, A. Qadiri, E. Hemingway, A. Camus, J.-P. Sartre, and E. Dickinson. The analysis showed that the use of multi-clause and short sentences and different grammatical techniques significantly affects the reader’s perception of the text. The comparative analysis has demonstrated how the use of certain syntactic and grammatical means forms unique artistic strategies that enhance the philosophical or emotional component of the work. Syntactic and grammatical constructions play a key role in forming the style of the work. The findings show that syntactic and grammatical choices shape narrative rhythm and emotional tone.
