Abstract
Smart grids are considered a modern trend in the development of electric power infrastructure, based on the integration of energy networks with information and communication technologies. Their use improves the efficiency, reliability, and flexibility of electric power systems through automated monitoring and control of electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption. The implementation of a smart grid promotes the rational use of energy resources, the integration of renewable energy sources, a reduction in environmental impact, and the optimization of operating costs and improved power supply quality.
