Abstract
This article presents the results of determining the amounts of macro- and microelements in “Sirol” ointment, developed to treat the skin condition vitiligo and produced using secondary fish-processing products, by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The study revealed that the “Sirol” ointment contains a total of 70 chemical elements. Among the macroelements, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and magnesium were found in relatively high amounts; among the microelements, iron, aluminum, silicon, boron, zinc, strontium, manganese, and copper were present at higher levels compared with the other elements.
