Abstract

This article examines the formation, regional characteristics, and scientific classification of Uzbek embroidery terminology. The research is structured according to the IMRAD methodology and covers introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Uzbek embroidery terminology constitutes a rich lexical layer combining indigenous, Persian, Arabic, and partially Russian loanwords. During the study, the terminology of seven regional schools (Bukhara, Samarkand, Nurata, Shakhrisabz, Tashkent, Khorezm, Fergana) was comparatively analyzed and a systematic classification of more than 200 terms was created. The results showed that there is currently no uniformity in Uzbek embroidery terminology: the same object is named differently in different regions. This problem puts the need to standardize terminology on the agenda. The article provides concrete recommendations for including terms in a national dictionary and introducing them into international scientific circulation [3].
