Abstract

In economically developed countries, there has been a steady decline in the incidence of gastric and duodenal ulcers in recent years. This trend is primarily attributed to the decreasing prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection, driven by the active implementation of eradication therapy and rising socioeconomic status. However, the problem of complicated disease remains a pressing issue: the incidence of complications, primarily gastrointestinal bleeding, still reaches 5–10% of cases.
