Improvement of tricot seams of various materials by modernization of sewing machine and polymer composite
Abstract
The article relates to the sewing sector of the light industry, in particular to equipment for producing sewing products, and can be used in the manufacture of garments made from fabrics with high thread separability. The objective of the invention is to increase the strength and sealing of seams in materials by applying a polymer composition. This objective is achieved by improving the design of the polymer composition supply and application area so that it is applied before stitch formation in these zones. The resulting polymer composition remains insoluble in water up to 60 °C, enhancing seam stability and yielding favorable results when applied to cotton and knitted fabrics. When tested on knitted, denim, and canvas fabrics dried for 24 hours at 25 °C, the tensile strength of the seams increased by 2–2.5 times.
