ENHANCING ACADEMIC WRITING THROUGH AI-ASSISTED CORPUS-BASED LEARNING
Abstract
This study investigates the role of AI-assisted corpus-based learning in improving academic writing among EFL learners through a classroom-based action research approach. Rather than relying on experimental comparison, the study focuses on observing learners’ writing development over time and analyzing changes in their use of academic language. Data were collected through iterative writing tasks, AI-generated feedback, and textual analysis. The findings reveal that students gradually developed more sophisticated academic expressions, improved coherence, and demonstrated greater awareness of disciplinary conventions. The study highlights the pedagogical value of integrating AI and corpus-based techniques into writing instruction.
