Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations and developmental stages of the phenomenon of parcellation. In Russian linguistics (Y. V. Vannikov, V. G. Gak, and others), the functions of parcellation in creating emotional expressiveness, emphasis, and rhythm have been substantiated. In Uzbek linguistics, this phenomenon was initially interpreted in connection with appositive constructions, but in the works of I. Toshaliyev, A. Gafforov, and Sh. Haydarov it has been studied as an independent syntactic unit. Sh. Haydarov analyzes parcellation in terms of the base and the parcellated segment, demonstrating its role in ensuring semantic coherence and expressiveness in literary texts. In conclusion, it is emphasized that parcellation is not only a stylistic device, but also a cognitive model that enhances effectiveness in text perception.
