Abstract
This article analyzes proverbs containing zoonym components in the Uzbek, Karakalpak, and English languages from a linguocognitive perspective. Zoonym units are examined as important semantic elements that reflect national culture, worldview, and conceptual systems. The study reveals that through animal imagery, human character, social relations, moral evaluation, and cultural values are expressed by means of conceptual metaphors and symbolic-semiotic mechanisms. The materials of the three languages are comparatively investigated, and both national and universal cognitive models are identified.
